Norms and Family

The norms, are fundamental for our life, they mostly defined as rules or expectations that are socially enforced. The definition of "Norms" by the Cambridge Dictionary is "an accepted standard or way of behaving or doing things that most people agree with".

There are three types of norms, which are: Social, Legal and Religious. These three had their own rules. The social norms, tell us how we should behave when we are in a particular social group or culture, legal norms are rules the are mostly want to reflect the ethical standard, and this ones are establish by a superior authority or organization, and finally we have the religious norms, by his name we can know that it stands for the religion.

The sanction of each norm is according of their types and their are also different, for example: The sanction of social norms are external and social rejection, for legal are external, involve administrative and criminal penalties, anf for religious are internal, the feel of guiltiness and remorse.

With that we can finish the first point I wanted to talk, now we are going with the second topic that is about the family and how these could be related with norms.

So family is a group of people related to one another blood or a legal relationship, basically the norms we learned and all our ethical behavor the mayority of that is because the values our family teach us, and some of them can be with the people we mostly interact.

There some thing that a family need to be able to balance and make a comfortable environment, some of these are: the primordial which is equal and respectful treatment, a loving relationship, open comunication, discipline, and leading by the example.

Unfotunately, there are some families in where there are cases of domestic violence, by the name we can relate that is the abuse of one member of the family in hands of another member of the family. In Mexico, the percentage of xcases of domestic violence has increased in this time of pandemic, based on the statistics of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP) the domestic violence has increased 20.7% compared to the last year.
